My research focusses on understanding the effects of land surface processes on land falling tropical cyclones and specifically at what contributes to sustenance of a cyclone over land. During the process, I work closely with research scientists at Hurricane Research Division(HRD) and national centres for Environmental Prediction(NCEP) of National Oceanic & Atmospheric Administration(NOAA). I have also developed risk management tools/models that work alongside the hurricane WRF to forecast cyclone floods.
